Dr. Helen Milner is a Registered Specialist in Small Animal Surgery and her veterinary surgical coaching services can help you and your team achieve their best in a supportive, collegial, and non-judgmental environment.
Helen has been part of the Cantabrian veterinary scene since joining 'Vetspecs' in 2003, the South Island's first ever small animal referral-only service to promote and provide exceptional specialist care to its vets and pets.
Strongly driven by a genuine love of animals and the cherished animal-human bond, Helen at all times seeks to optimise health and wellbeing in both the animals she treats and the people she meets.

What is a Veterinary Specialist?
A veterinary specialist is a registered veterinarian who has completed extensive and supervised extra training in a particular veterinary discipline. This training involves many extra years of work and study, in addition to that provided by their veterinary degree, and culminates in a requirement to pass a rigorous set of examinations that evaluate their skill and knowledge in their chosen field.
